On October 30, Shanghai Runda Rongjia Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Hangzhou Omni Dynamics Biotechnology Co., Ltd. entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with several leading medical and research institutions, including Renji Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, the First Affiliated Hospital of the University of Science and Technology of China, Shanghai Cancer Institute, Pudong Hospital affiliated with Fudan University, and the Bio-X Research Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Through this multidisciplinary collaboration, the participating institutions will jointly conduct clinical research on milk-derived exosomes across a range of medical fields. The studies aim to systematically evaluate the safety, efficacy, and underlying mechanisms of milk-derived exosomes, with a particular focus on their potential applications in post-operative recovery, wound healing, and the regulation of chronic inflammation. By integrating clinical expertise with advanced biotechnology research, this collaboration seeks to accelerate the translation of exosome-based innovations from laboratory research into meaningful clinical solutions that address unmet medical needs.

The natural exosomes addressed in this project represent an important and rapidly advancing branch within today’s cutting-edge fields of cell and gene therapy. As nanoscale extracellular vesicles naturally released by cells, exosomes play a critical role in intercellular communication by transporting bio-active molecules such as proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids. Their inherent biological origin grants them high bio-compatibility and low immunogenicity, making them particularly attractive as natural non-viral delivery systems.
Compared with traditional viral vectors, exosomes offer unique advantages in terms of safety, stability, and targeting potential. Their ability to protect and deliver functional cargos across biological barriers opens new possibilities for precise and efficient therapeutic interventions. Leveraging these properties, exosomes provide a powerful platform for the development of precision medicine, enabling targeted modulation of cellular pathways, as well as for regenerative medicine, where they support tissue repair, immune regulation, and functional recovery. As research continues to advance, natural exosomes are increasingly recognized as a transformative tool with broad clinical and translational potential.
The research teams at Rongjia Biotech and Omni Dynamics have been deeply engaged in the field of natural exosomes for several years, building a solid and systematic scientific foundation. Drawing from a wide range of biological origins—including animals, plants, microorganisms, and dairy sources—we have rigorously screened and characterized more than 300 types of natural exosomes. Each candidate has undergone comprehensive evaluation across multiple scientific dimensions, including toxicological safety assessment, cellular functional studies, organoid-level validation, and in vivo animal efficacy testing.
These multi-layered preclinical studies have generated a robust body of high-quality data, providing strong scientific evidence for both safety and functionality. It is precisely this extensive and well-validated preclinical research that has enabled our work to progress beyond exploratory studies and formally enter the stage of human clinical research, marking a critical milestone in translational development.
Our long-term vision is to transform natural exosomes—an emerging and highly promising biomaterial platform—into innovative, practical solutions that meaningfully improve human health. Guided by a strong scientific framework, we are advancing focused research and development efforts across three strategic directions.
In skin science, we aim to unlock the full potential of natural exosomes in tissue repair, regeneration, and precision skincare, addressing both clinical and aesthetic needs.
In the field of therapeutic nutrition (medical foods), our research centers on applications in sports medicine—such as improving oxygen saturation—as well as the intervention and management of gastrointestinal conditions including gastritis and enteritis.
Finally, in pharmaceutical applications, we are leveraging the intrinsic anti-inflammatory and tissue-repair properties of natural exosomes to explore novel therapeutic approaches for diseases with limited effective treatments, such as dry eye disease.
Through continued research, clinical validation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration, we are committed to advancing exosome science from the laboratory to real-world medical and health solutions.
